Reverse text generator — FAQ
What is a reverse text generator?
A reverse text generator flips the order of characters in your text so it reads backwards — “hello” becomes “olleh”. People use it for riddles, playful social posts, spoiler softeners and aesthetic bios.
Can it reverse whole words instead of just letters?
Yes. Use the Reverse Words mode to flip word order while keeping each word readable (“the quick brown fox” → “fox brown quick the”), or Reverse Each Word to flip the letters inside every word while the words stay in place.
Does reversing text break emoji?
Not here. This tool reverses text by Unicode code points, so emoji and accented characters move as whole units and stay intact. Many simple reversers split text the naive way and corrupt emoji into broken symbols.
What is upside-down text, and where can I paste it?
Upside-down text uses rotated Unicode letters that read normally when you tilt your phone. It pastes anywhere plain text works — Instagram captions, TikTok comments, Discord names, WhatsApp messages and tweets.
Is my text uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs instantly in your browser with JavaScript — your text never leaves your device, and there is no signup or account.
What is mirror text?
Mirror text flips each letterform horizontally, the way writing looks in a mirror — Leonardo da Vinci famously filled notebooks with mirror writing. Our Mirror Text mode recreates the effect with Unicode characters you can copy and paste.
Outputs are plain Unicode text — they render on all modern phones, browsers and social apps. If a symbol ever shows as a box on an old device, try another mode.
