Why use Zyrro's Unit Converter?

Switch between seven tabs — Length, Weight, Temperature, Data, Speed, Area and Volume — type a number, and the answer appears instantly as you type. No "convert" button to press, no page reloads, no waiting.

Covers both metric and imperial units: millimeters to miles, grams to stone, Celsius to Kelvin and Fahrenheit, megabytes to terabytes, km/h to mph, square meters to acres, and liters to gallons. A swap button reverses the conversion in one tap, and each tab includes a quick-reference cheat sheet for the most common equivalents.

  • Seven categories: Length (8 units), Weight (7), Temperature (3), Data (7), Speed (5), Area (9), Volume (12)
  • Live conversion: results update as you type
  • One-tap swap: instantly reverse the conversion direction
  • Quick reference: common equivalents listed under each tab
  • Works offline: all conversion math runs in your browser

Frequently asked questions

Does the converter work offline?

Yes. All conversion math runs in your browser with JavaScript — once the page has loaded, you can convert without an internet connection.

How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?

Open the Temperature tab, choose Celsius in "From" and Fahrenheit in "To", then type your number — the result appears live. For reference: 0 °C is 32 °F, 100 °C is 212 °F, and −40 reads the same in both scales.

Can it convert stones to pounds?

Yes. The Weight tab includes stone alongside grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds. One stone equals 14 pounds, and the tab's quick reference lists the most common equivalents.

How accurate are the results?

Conversions use exact standard factors — 1 inch is exactly 2.54 cm, for example — and results are rounded to 8 significant digits. That's plenty for cooking, DIY, fitness, and schoolwork. For certified engineering work, always verify against an authoritative standard.

Is a kilobyte 1,000 or 1,024 bytes?

Both conventions exist, which is exactly why it confuses people. This converter uses 1,024-based (binary) units — matching how Windows, macOS and your phone's storage screen report file and drive sizes. Some drive makers advertise 1,000-based (decimal) sizes, which is why a "1 TB" drive shows about 931 GB in your system.

Can it convert data sizes like GB to MB?

Yes. Open the Data tab to convert between bits, bytes, KB, MB, GB, TB and PB. It also handles speeds (km/h to mph), areas (square meters to acres) and volumes (liters to gallons) in their own tabs.
